Well technically whisper in the dark is illegal so there's that and southern murderer is a must have

Why is it illegal? I know its game text is an erratum, but I can't see it on the X-list. But I will change shadow anyway...
EDIT: Shadow changed.

followers can't bear cards, some people allow you to play with it but other don't

Well, whether it is illegal or not is imho not that interesting. I think some cards overwrite rulings, but here is nor the time or the place to debate such. It is a boring card.
Simple and efficient warg rider shadow, and most importantly, it is not dead against namarie... Jeez, I hate that card...
Namarie can be put on that boring card list too.
I like the knife/culture thing.

Yeah. Any card game text overrules game rules. The rules are there for a general. That's why it's possible to have multiple hand-weapons on the one guy.
-
then why can't you cancel skirmishes with O Elbereth, Gilthoniel?
-
Boom. Roasted.

I'm pretty sure that's a mistake with the database.

And yeah I haven't played much
I'm pretty sure that's a mistake with the database.
It most certainly is not. Skirmishes involving the Ring-Bearer cannot be cancelled. Legolas3333's point that there are rules that supersede cards remains valid.

According to the rulebook skirmishes can't be canceled. However game text always overrules the games main rules. Why else would Decipher put the game text there? They're not incompetent. They wouldn't have bothered adding the game text unless it actually did something.

And yeah I haven't played much
That doesn't mean that I don't know the rules man. It just means that I don't know how well things cycle and don't have very much experience with how well decks will do in game.

Honestly, I don't know why I waste my time on you, but here you go:
The Ring-bearer cannot be discarded or returned to your hand, and skirmishes involving the Ringbearer cannot be cancelled.
The rule was created after the advent of Alternate Ring-Bearers. Cards like Curse Them or Boromir's Gauntlets would allow a player to cancel a skirmish with Isildur, Bearer of Heirlooms or something else. The game had been considering it for a while because of cards like Filibert Bolger, Wily Rascal that were NPE.
O Elbereth! Githoniel! is still a legal card because it adds other gametext to the game that can be used...the strength +1 or the ability to take off the One Ring; however, canceling skirmishes with the Ring-Bearer is against the rules.
Here is a link (http://lotrtcgdb.com/rules/comprehensive.pdf) to the CRD which I highly recommend that you read before your next game or LotR TCG-related comment.
