Alrighty. A series of DCs around my keyword "Corrupted."
Corrupted (This Shadow card may be played regardless of unique Free Peoples cards.)
So, for example, you could have a Free Peoples Boromir out, and the Shadow player can play a Corrupted Boromir, even though both are unique.
I'm pretty sure I've posted some of these before, but I've now got a whole string of them, so I'll just be posting all of them, three or four at a time.
[2] •Frodo, Taken by the Ring [Gollum]
Minion - Hobbit
Strength 5
Vitality 4
Site 8
Corrupted. Fierce.
Each ring-bound companion (except the ring-bearer) is resistance -4.
Each time Frodo wins a skirmish, you may exert him to add a burden.
Skirmish: Remove a burden or threat to make all copies of Frodo strength +1.
"'The Ring is mine!'"
[2] •Sam, The Fat One [Gollum]
Minion - Hobbit
Strength 5
Vitality 4
Site 8
Corrupted. Damage +1.
Each time any copy of Sam wins a skirmish, you may exert him to add a burden.
Skirmish: Exert this copy of Sam to make all copies of him strength +2.
"'The fat one wants it. I can see it in his eyes.'"
[2] •Must Join With Him [Isengard]
Condition - Support Area
Each of your corrupted minions is strength +1.
Maneuver: Spot a corrupted minion and discard this condition to add a burden.
Regroup: Discard this condition to take Saruman or a corrupted minion into hand from play or your discard pile.
"'...There can be no victory.'"
[4] •Saruman, The Wise [Isengard]
Minion - Wizard
Strength 8
Vitality 4
Site 2
Damage +1. Fierce. Lurker. Muster.
To play, spot two burdens.
Maneuver: Exert Saruman to play a corrupted minion from hand. It is twilight cost -1.
"'When did Saruman the Wise abandon Reason for Madness?'"

You don't need to say 'any copy of...' for the first ability: 'Each time Frodo wins a skirmish' is fine. Could you not represent on this card something about him getting out progressively easier along the site path or based on the number of burdens? Maybe but his cost at [10] and say he's twilight -X where X is the site number or number of burdens? You might want to take out some text for that though. Oh yeah, and I think he should be [Sauron] culture, not [Gollum].
[2] •Sam, The Fat One [Gollum]
Minion - Hobbit
Strength 5
Vitality 4
Site 8
Corrupted. Damage +1.
Each time any copy of Sam wins a skirmish, you may exert him to add a burden.
Skirmish: Exert this copy of Sam to make all copies of him strength +2.
"'The fat one wants it. I can see it in his eyes.'"
I see the synergy. I think I could definitely see Sam as [Sauron] too and with a similar cost reduction that I was talking about above, just to keep the cycle together.

Condition - Support Area
Each of your corrupted minions is strength +1.
Shadow: Spot a corrupted minion and discard this condition to add a burden.
Regroup: Discard this condition to take Saruman or a corrupted minion into hand from play or the discard pile.
"'...There can be no victory.'"
'Your discard pile' or it's unclear whether you can take one from your opponent's. I don't think the ability should be Shadow, or you just keep it in play until you draw another copy, discard it to add a burden, then immediately play it again. Should be Maneuver. Also, for the first text I think I'd prefer a card with less text and non-unique. Perhaps you can split this idea into 2 or more cards.
[4] •Saruman, The Wise [Isengard]
Minion - Wizard
Strength 8
Vitality 4
Site 4
Damage +1. Fierce. Lurker. Muster.
To play, spot two burdens.
Maneuver: Exert Saruman to play a corrupted minion from hand. It is twilight cost -1.
"'When did Saruman the Wise abandon Reason for Madness?'"
Given your earlier corrupted minions had site numbers based on when during the fellowship's adventure they became evil, I think you should follow suit here and give Saruman site 2 - it'll be fine with the spotting requirement. My question is: are you that likely to make a whole deck out of corrupted minions? I feel like I'd be more inclined to just throw individual characters in decks that could do with them.

Corrupted Sam just doesn't sound right...
Otherwise, nice cards. Anyway to clean up the wording, maybe?
-
I love corrupted characters!! What about Galadriel, Treacherous Queen, or Gandalf (couldn't come up with a subtitle instantly)
-
Gandalf, corrupted wizard ;)
-
Gandalf, corrupted wizard ;)
I was looking for something more creative, that has to do with him willing to do good, but it would be a too great a power for him to deal with....;)
-
Gandalf Succomed To Evil?
Gandalf Yielded To Corruption?
-
succumbed* and gandalf, succumbed to evil is much better than the alternative :P
-
Not really any new comments on the cards, but the following characters would be great as corrupted versions, since they make at least some sense:
- Boromir (almost a must, really)
- Faramir
- Theoden (think his Saruman-controlled self)
- Denethor (no duh, right?)
- Bilbo
It also wouldn't be a bad idea to have a corrupted Gollum or two, just for fun. Maybe even add corrupted to your Saruman, too. Doesn't HAVE to be limited to characters that are normally companions, after all.

I was thinking the same thing (in addition to Frodo & Sam). I'm sure that Isildur also qualifies.
I would also like to suggest Pippin, when he's holding the Palantir and his eyes are rolled back into his head.
Also Galadriel, when her hair is flying all over the place.

All good ideas! I second that.

And it would allow you to easily make a Saruman companion.

Corrupted for those normally companions.
Bizarro for those normally minions.

Well, looks like people have already figured out *most* of my upcoming minions....
A few of those (ie, Theoden) I hadn't actually thought of. I threw together a Theoden real quick that I think is pretty good, and I'll get him up soon enough. For now, I'm just making a few minor modifications on the ones above, and posting a new batch.
There's a reason why I made the Frodo and Sam [Gollum] culture, mostly being that I really wanted to see more [Gollum] minions. Actually, that Frodo was what got me started on the the corrupted minions in the first place....
Okay, for the next four, including one minion that you might or might not have seen coming: Ted Sandyman.
[1] Secret Counsels [Isengard]
Event - Skirmish
Make a corrupted minion strength +3 (or +4 if you can spot a Free Peoples version of that character.)
"'...The hour grows late, and Gandalf the Grey rides to Isengard, seeking my counsel.'"
[2] •Ted Sandyman, The Miller's Son [Isengard]
Minion - Hobbit
Strength 5
Vitality 4
Site 8
Corrupted. Lurker. Muster.
When you play Ted Sandyman, you may exert him to replace the fellowship's current site.
Skirmish: Exert Ted Sandyman to make a corrupted minion strength +1.
Not all hobbits were kindly folk, and some willingly aided Sharkey's usurpation of the Shire.
[2] •Galadriel, Elf-Witch [Elven] SH
Minion - Elf
Strength 5
Vitality 3
Site 6
Corrupted.
To play, spot a burden or two threats.
When you play Galadriel, you may add up to 2 threats.
Maneuver: Exert Galadriel and remove a threat to add a burden. The Free Peoples player may discard a card at random from his or her hand to prevent this.
"'In place of a Dark Lord, you would have a Queen! Not dark, but beautiful, and terrible as the dawn!'"
[1] Treacherous as the Sea [Elven] SH
Event - Maneuver
Exert a corrupted minion (or spot Galadriel) to add [1] for each burden you can spot.
"'All shall love me and despair!'"
-
I like all of them, Galdriel could really be nasty and great fun!

That looks good. I'm still not sure a strategy of corrupted minions works for me - I envisaged them each as support for a particular strategy or culture - but whatever.

Seems good. But I'd like something like on your Saruman which requires her to be played only after the fellowship has been a little corrupted.
[2] Treacherous as the Sea [Elven] SH
Event - Maneuver
Exert a corrupted minion (or spot Galadriel) to add [1] for each burden you can spot.
