Title: GCCG Rules and Regulations
Post by: Kralik on February 14, 2011, 08:01:40 PM
GCCG is a fun way to enjoy LotR online, and we want it to stay that way. FUN. To help with that purpose, here are two simple rules to keep it enjoyable:

1) Don't cheat.
2) Don't be an ___insert favorite expletive here__ to other players.

Cheating includes, but is not limited to...

Being a #$&*@! includes, but is certainly not limited to...

All games and the lobby are logged. Although I do not comb the logs by hand (nice bedtime reading and all), there are some scripts I can run to detect cheaters (in case of quick cash games) and I can verify any reports. If a few users report you are being a jerk, then for the sake of the others you may be removed from being able to play GCCG. Also, keep in mind that some TLHH members have been here for years and will receive more credence when it comes to their side of an issue vs. new GCCG players.

So the possible consequences?

**Such as Mager's "where'd it go?"
***This varies from person to person. When in doubt, don't. With your friends, it's between the two of you.

I think "offensive language" should be specified, personally. I understand that it is subjective (and I am certainly not the nicest person in the forums), but I personally think that racism and gay-bashing are two that should be strictly prohibited.

Definitely those slurs bashing

-Sexual orientation
-Gender
-Religion
-Race

should be cut out. Language, I can accept, is way more subjective.

Since the posting of these rules, all users will see a message on login that they are required to read and abide by the rules.
