Title: Wounding and corrupting Nazgul (shadow only)
Post by: MR. Lurtzy on August 24, 2008, 06:59:56 PM
A deck that my friend and I need some help with.

37
Saruman, Master of the White Hand x2
Ulaire Enquea, Duplicitous Lieutenant x2
Ulaire Otsea, Duplicitous Specter  x2
Ulaire Cantea, Black Assassin x2
Ulaire Nertea, Dark Horseman x3
Ulaire Enquea, Sixth of the Nine Riders x2
The Witch-king, Black Lord x3

Ring of Savagery x2
Ring of Terror x2

Dark Fell About Him x3
In the Ringwraith's Wake x3

Dark Temptation x3
Lingering Shadow x3
Drawn to its Power x3
Surrounded by Wraiths x2

Basically, the deck wounds with surrounded by wraiths, black lord, sixth of the nine riders, and by winning skirmishes. Most of the other cards heal companions to add burdens and corrupt the ring-bearer. It's a pretty straightforward deck, but it needs some help with corrupting and winning skirmishes. Any suggestions are appreaciated.

Hehe I love using Saruman, MotwH in corruption decks     I've won more than once with having Throne of the Dark Lord out around Mount Doom.  Slap down Saruman and BAM.  That's -3 resistence.  That being said, it might be better to leave Saruman out since it isn't the true focus of the deck.  Maybe add in one more Dark Fell About Him and an extra Dark Horseman to help you win a couple more skirmishes.  I also prefer Ring of Terror over Ring of Savagery.  Its a close call since RoS adds a burden or exertion, but its the free peoples choice.  RoT is just disgusting when placed on Dark Horseman.  It will quickly prepare companions for Dark Fell About Him.   =D>

That is frisky. Thanks, :gp:

What fp side should I pair with this?

I LOVE Cantea in Corruption! But...with Cantea and Nertea, a question must be asked about the whereabouts of Sense of Obligation? Drop In the Ringwraith's Wake for it.

Other than that, love the deck. I'd pair with forest elves or some sorta Smeagol forest engine and run some Lost in the Woods in place of A Shadow Fell Over Them and...I'm not sure, 2 other cards. :D

Oh yeah Sense of Obligation is always a good card.  Especially with Dark Horseman.  I also agree that forest elves are probably the best possible pair up with this shadow.
