Title: Gollum The Buccaneer
Post by: legolas3333 on February 23, 2011, 01:46:08 PM
1x • Gollum, Plotting Deceiver
3x • Castamir of Umbar
3x Black Numenorean
4x Corsair Buccaneer
4x Corsair Marauder

3x Raider Halberd
2x Black Sails of Umbar
3x Corsair War Galley
2x Ships of Great Draught

2x Evil-smelling Fens
2x •Fat One Wants It
2x Let Her Deal With Them

2x Captured by the Ring
2x Fierce in Despair
2x Wind That Sped Ships

Shadow Total   37

Ok so I tried to move the main token generation from the plunderers to buccaneers, and I get tokens ok, but I have a hard time killing people, I need to add cards like red wrath and raider bow, but I'm at 37 already, any ideas? (not to mention i have 12 minions, so yeah this deck has a few problems)

If you're going with initiative, you could add a copy or two of Let Her Deal With Them. Also, Black Numenorean could help a lot.

I'd do something like this:

Remove:

2x Ships of Great Draught (it's a great card, but you really don't need that many)
1x or 2x Evil Smelling Fens (with Black Sails of Umbar you don't really need these)
2x Captured by the Ring (if you're going for initiative, it's enough to play Gollum just once and then use his text to play him from that point onward)

Add:

3x Black Numenorean
1x or 2x Let Her Deal With Them

If initiative is not really what you're going for, then you could add Raider Bow and/or Red Wrath instead of Black Numenorean and LHDWT.

I would probably just run one copy of Fat One Wants It and add another copy of Captured By the Ring. If Gollum and those two in your deck are sitting on the bottom somewhere you could be in trouble.

Just make sure your Free Peoples cycles really well. You could also consider dropping the Wind That Sped Ships, but that's just a judgement call. You'll probably win enough skirmishes without it, considering you are dumping possessions and discarding companions with Fierce In Despair.
