Free peoples strategy:
Bid 2, go first. Mulligan if you don't get saved from the fire unless you have a killer hand otherwise. Burn gandalf, grab your other gandy, another saved, and sent back. Don't double. Next turn, burn pip, grab some combo of the hobbit cards, your first target is Alihm, then 2x tscs, then escape, then hobbit sword. Keep playing your entire hand. Once you get Echoes of Valinor out, use that and gandy winning skirmishes to keep getting and loosing initiative, healing companions, and removing burdens. Double or triple move when you can, using Radagast's staff to regain initiative. Its a bit vulnerable till its set up, but once its set up even with 7 companions it doesn't die easily. They all have 4 or more vitality, so if you keep them healed well enough shotgun nazzies aren't a huge deal, although Greed would kill you.
Shadow is pretty basic southron wounding. Don't really know how well it works cause its been a while since I've used it :P
