Title: Final Strike and Stewards Tomb
Post by: TheJord on March 06, 2011, 08:46:04 AM
Can Final Strike cancel wounds without Stewards Tomb blocking it?

ket and I played that it could.

Any opinions?

I also think it can, but I must add I'm not 100% sure.

It's canceling the effect and not preventing the wound. For wound to be prevented, it has to be assigned to a character and since the effect is canceled, that doesn't happen.

Yup. Gollums exertion doesnt prevent a wound, it prevents the ability, so it circumvenes Stewards Tomb.

Also agreed. The "prevent" in Steward's Tomb has a specific gameplay meaning; Final Strike canceling an effect that would cause wounds is not "preventing" those wounds.
