Well, I've been focus most of my trading on blocks 15-18, but I've been trying to get a couple uncommon from the ROTEL expansion, and I've noticed they're almost impossible to get.
Was the ROTEL release more limited than the other ones? :s
For some reason ROTEL boosters cost quite a bit more too.

Realms of the Elf Lords is a pretty rare set in terms of boosters; however, you can still find foil sets on eBay for $20-$30 each.
It was underproduced relative to the other movie block sets (Siege of Gondor too).

I see. thanks. That would explain why it's almost impossible to find boosters on ebay..

My local group had 40 players when FOTR came out and was down to 15 by the time ROTEL was released. MoM really killed the scene and consequently for us ROTEL wasn't as widely purchased and traded. But thats just how it went down in my area (Southern Utah at the time).

Interesting...why did your group dislike MoM? The Balrog was added to the game, and Moria Archers, Gandalf's Staff, Secret Sentinels, and Tower Assassin were welcome additions to FotR block. Hollin and Bilbo too...
Filibert Bolger and Flaming Brand were both a bummer though.
Twilight Nazgul were fairly popular, I remember...

MoM was one(and I guess still is)of my favorite sets. But I've gotin 3 booster boxes so I am good.
Mines of Moria is definitely a weak set; I just was wondering why nearly two-thirds of his playing group abandoned after the set came out.

It really was the fact that it was so small and weak. People were expecting more out of it and weren't impressed. They just lost interest. One of the weaknesses of the set, and most small lotr sets imo, is that they don't have enough cards to really flesh out a lot of new strategy for each culture.

Well I just got my RotEL playset from Hawkeye, so I am a very happy little nerd at the moment. :-)
