Title: A question
Post by: Scyter on March 27, 2011, 03:08:09 AM
I have a question. If my computer crashes, is there any way to get my user on gccg back on a different pc? Or do I simply loose all progress and cards/decks and have to start over again with another user? That would be unfortunate, as you probably can imagine.

There are a few posts on this topic already. The short answer is, "yes."

If your computer hasn't crashed yet, make a copy of your username and password files. If it has crashed already, PM Kralik.

Ok, thanks for the answer, and I should probably have searched first...

I have gccg on my school computer, and 1/4 of the harddrives on those are defect.. so I was just making sure, in case mine crashes, as a couple of other already have.

Just move it to a flash drive and/or keep a backup of the settings folder. You really shouldn't be running it on a school computer, but even so, backup C:\.gccg.
