Title: Entering the 21st Century...
Post by: TheJord on May 28, 2011, 04:59:30 PM
I have finally upgraded to a phone with a touch screen, which replaces my old flip phone with an aerial. I am also putting Windows 7 on my laptop (not new however).

My question for my homies at TLHH is, which browser is best?

I use Firefox currently, wife likes IE.

I guess that means I'm still firmly in the 20th century.

I used to like firefox, but the new one is super slow and takes up crazy amounts of processing power. I'm converted to google Chrome, which I highly recommend :)

I do. Not that I like it, or anything, but my wife likes it better since she's familiar with it, so I just take it. I liked Firefox a lot, never tested Chrome, though. And I still have a crummy phone, I guess I'm a dinosaur after all. I actually asked my Xbox 360 to come with at least ONE cord controller, since I didn't want it to have all wireless ones (not too keen on having to remember if the batteries were charged, etc).

Consensus is Chrome, so that's what I am on now.

Any recommendations for anti virus software? I am no longer a fan of AVG

Yeah, but think of the fun you miss!

(DISCLAIMER: This is only a joke. This forumer in no way endorses people to look for pornography on the internet, and advise everyone to take extra care in doing so, in order to avoid breaking the law or exposing your own parents to doing it by being "lax in their care".)

I've been using Avira without issue, though it does have pop-ups asking you to upgrade (which can be disabled by setting permissions).
