I was bored and was fooling around and came up with this deck idea. Here is the deck list followed by a strategy, let me know what you think and what would be a decent shadow for it.
Bearer and Ring
*The One Ring, Such a Weight to Carry(7R2)
*Gimli, Bearer of Grudges (RB)(9R+4)
Fellowship (33)
2x *Seeing Stone of Orthanc(9R38)
3x *Aragorn, Driven by Need(7P364)
1x *Legolas, Greenleaf(1R50)
1x *Merry, Rohirrim Squire(7C320)
1x *Pippin, Sworn to Service(7C323)
1x *Radagast, The Brown(9R+26)
1x *Smeagol, Slinker(5R29)
3x Ranger of Osgiliath(7C116)
3x *A Light in his Mind(10U108)
1x *The Tale of Gil-galad(1R66)
3x Gondor Bowmen(3R41)
1x Preparations(7R12)
4x Shadowplay(10U114)
4x The Shire Countryside(3R113)
2x Slaked Thirsts(7U14)
2x *Aragorn's Bow(1R90)
Idea is to soften up minions as they are played with Shadowplay and exhuast em with Slaked Thirsts in manuever. Finish them off in Archery with direct wounding from Aragorn with his bow and Legolas. If they get alot out Gondor Bowmen to add to the archery total. If you face minions that can't take wounds til skirmish you can assign em to Smeagol and add burdens to pump him or add threats to pump Aragorn, Merry, and Pippin. Here is where it gets fun. For regroup use Ranger of Osgiliath to lose initiative peeling burdens with A Light in His Mind and mass Healing with The Shire Countryside. Use the Seeing-Stone of Orthanc to get initiative back and losing it again with Ranger of Osgiliath. With all the Healing (tons of burdens to play with thanks to Smeagol) you can constantly remove threats with Aragorn to draw cards until your fellowship is completely healed. Now that you have all the direct archery and Slaked Thirsts restacked abuse Radagast and make a run for it . It is probably best to manage your use of Shadowplay especially if you fear Enquea or anything else or try to save them for a double or triple move if you feel you can handle what is played with the rest of your direct wounds and exertions.
I'm currently looking for a shadow to do one of two things (if not both), help cycle and/or provide stopping power. With the regroup trick you can abuse it to set up either your next fellowship turn or set up a shadow turn. I'm currently using Palantir of Orthanc, Seventh Seeing-Stone with [isengard] orcs that stack and wound is Regroup phase. I'm using the Library of Orthanc since I'm using Palantir that way if I see Isengard Tender I can play another [isengard] minion and stack him on the library. In theory it seems like it would help cycle, but not sure if it would have much stopping power. If they run a Radagast, Elendil with Narsil or anything else it might not give me the running advantage.
Let me know what you think, and any and all comments are welcomed.

as long as you splash in a sauron or two, you should be fine. if they try to double, you can hit them with that.
-
duh of course let me add that to the deck now .
-
I keep thinking Closer and Closer He Bent would be good, if you wanted to get a crazy Shadow setup.
-
this is the kind of thing that could change the game as we know it.
-
It's like fruit loops lite... Add Bilbo, Bearer of Things Burgled, or Closer And Closer He Bent to add burdens in regroup and make the loop infinite.
-
Hahah oh those pesky infinite loops; looks uber fun.
-
Like it, but for 'safety' sake, I would recommend Gimli FA, since if someone likes Saruman's Power, and a lot of people tend to like that card, your deck is vulnarable.... At least you would have the exhaust in maneuver option....
-
4x shadowplay can work wonders against saruman's power. of course, it makes doubling a bit tedious.
-
Gonna steal this from u xD

i would start with the res 12 frodo merry pips and gimli fa, with only one preperations in the deck there is no garanty of getting it out early. Bid alot start first with dunharow bladibla. Im still stealin it though!

Normally not one to gloat (who am I kidding? Yes I am!) but I just threw V's deck over a barrel on GCCG. Just a friendly reminder that no deck is invincible.
You're next, Nappy.

WTF is this?
I was wondering the same thing...
-
Well, I have finally gotten the deck the way I like it. It does have its weakness (like saruman's power and grond), but its still fun to play with and win it gets setup it works like a dream . Here is the finished product (free peoples and shadow).
The Ring and Bearer:
Bilbo, Bearer of Things Burgled
The One Ring, Answer to All Riddles
Fellowship (33):
Companions:
Legolas, Greenleaf (starting)
Merry, Rohirrim Squire (starting) (considering Merry, Friend to Sam, but not sure)
Pippin, Sworn to Service (starting)
Aragorn, Driven By Need x4
Ranger of Osgiliath x3
Radagast, The Brown
Artifacts/Possessions:
Aragorn's Bow x3
Aiglos
Seeing Stone of Orthanc x3
Narsil, Blade of the Faithful
Conditions:
The Shire Countryside x4
A Light in His Mind x3
Saga of Elendil
Hardy Garrison
Brooding on Tomorrow
The Tale of Gil-Galad
Events:
Last Throw x3
Strategy:
Let your shadow help you setup up. Idea is to get Legolas and Aragorn with Bow blasting the minions to bits. Reheal them in the regroup phase with gaining initiative via Seeing-Stone and losing it via Ranger of Osgiliath. Exert gorn to peel the threats and heal him with The Shire Countryside. When set up you will be exhausting (whatever didn't die to archery) each minion and dealing the fatal wounds with Harding Garrison, Discarding all their conditions, and Healing everything that you see fit (mainly Aragorn and Legols). You can also remove the twilight with seeing stone as well. Once you get Radagast in play you shouldn't have much trouble finishing for your Last Throw events with the drawing and discarding in the regroup phase. Don't sweat it if you don't draw one on your double or triple you should get one to keep the move limit going. Bilbo keeps the burdens flowing freely in the regroup phase to ensure you can heal all you want . Basically blast away in archery, clear the opponents side of the board and heal up in regroup, then remove all the left over twilight and run, run, run.
Shadow (33):
Minions:
Corsair Boatswain x2
Easterling Army x3
Easterling Guard x3
easterling Lieutenant x3
Easterling Infantry x3
Easterling Captain x3
Sauron, The Lord of the Rings x2
Artifacts/Possessions:
Ships of Great Draught x4
Easterling Polearm x2
Conditions:
Small Hope x2
Events:
Vision From Afar x4
Red Wrath x2
Strategy:
Play what you can each site and toss the rest with Ships of Great Draught to avoid hand clogging and helping cycle for your free peoples. Running 4x Ships of Great Draught and 2x Corsair Boatswain you should get a Ships of Great Draught in play fairly early. Shadow is meant to give doubt to the opponent double moving and help set up your fellowship. The Faster the Fellowship sets up the better and faster the game should be.
Let me know what you think,

Just nuke the lot...that was imature. I loved it, sadly for you I played my disruption shadow, which has all that you don't like. Other than that, awesome

Yeah the matchup was horrid, but I have to say though I got blasted with a saruman's power and enquea, lom not once but twice it still took you all 9 sites to kill me. And as a game observer pointed out had i assigned my threat wounds properly I would have survived . #$&*@! that rest by blind night shuffling those 2 minions into your draw deck at site 8 as you were decked out, LOL. Was a great and entertaining game none the less. Always a blast to play a game with you good sir.
