Title: assault commander
Post by: Invincible on July 21, 2011, 08:55:07 AM
Simple question: if there are 3 conditions with the same name, would assault commander reduce the resistance by 2 or by 3?

Resistance is reduced by 3, since you can spot 3 cards with the title of that condition.

He is also a massively pointless card, unless you use him to play the reduced cost Resistance Uruks, as his effect does not extend beyond the Shadow phase.

Yep, since it's text is "each card that has the same card title" instead of "each other card that has the same card title".

My point exactly, to play tempest of war, our foes our weak and such by site 5, and on site 5 I play assault commander and 3-4 Uruk Aggressor, Uruk Zealot and Saruman if I have the twilight.

Uruk Zealot wouldn't work, since by the end of the Shadow phase the resistance reduction  from Assault Commander would be gone, so the strength penalty wouldn't exist at the skirmish phase.

The best combo for resistance uruks, which very few people know or use is Shingle in a Storm (the assignment ability) + Squad of Uruk-hai... that's a dead companion most of the times.

Resistance uruks, now that I like in standard.
