Title: Discarding posessions
Post by: Ulmo on September 05, 2008, 08:09:33 AM
Suppose I have Shadowfax on Gandalf early in the game.  Later I draw Glamdring, LB and want to play it.  Can I discard Shadowfax so I can then play the hand weapon?

Unfortunately not. You can't discard your own possessions...

...unless you had, say, Captain of the King's Guard or Derufin, in which case I suppose you could discard your own possession and make room for Lightning Brand, but that's a rather convoluted way of going about things.

[Rohan] is the only Free Peoples culture with the intention of moving possessions back to hand ie Dernhelm's Blade with Rohirrim Scout

No no no. Rohirrim is so you can get Riddermark Javelins from your discard pile.

Cards in your discard pile cannot be spotted. Rohirrim Scout takes possessions in play back to hand, for use with Gamling, WoR and Dernhelm's Blade.
