My prolonged medical situation has forced me to look into making some money wherever I can, and tonight I began a project I'd promised to avoid unless all other options had been exhausted: I'm selling my cards. Hopefully not all of them, but I'll be working from the bottom up until my life gets back together.

I've started breaking down my many, many boxes of assorted Common and Uncommon cards and will be trying to sell them as piecemeal sets (for instance, I'll charge $1 or so for a complete common set from a given set). I have nearly all of the hard-to-get Promotional cards (some signed by Decipher employees) which should sell pretty well on e-bay, which is where I'll be setting up shop.

I'm loath to sell off many of my rares, and if it comes to that I'll probably just sell the entire collection as one item and get it over with. I also have an extensive SWCCG collection that'll be available, along with a wide array of other games (including a .hack//ENEMY collection that's nearly a full play set, Promos and Tournament cards included). There are boxes of Star Wars Minis stashed away in my closet, too.

I'll be sure to provide links and such once things go up for auction/sale, but in the meantime I'd like to get your input: what are you looking for when out to buy some cards? What kinds of items do you stay away from, and what are some things that you've wanted to see for sale that nobody seems willing to part with? It's likely that I have it... especially the older stuff.

Sorry to hear about your ongoing situation menace...I hope all turns out well for you.

As for what I personally would be looking for...do you have any Farmer Maggots?  ;)

I'm sending some positive vibes your way, Menace.  I'd definitely be willing to buy some cards off you to help you out.  I'm always interested in movie-block foils.  At the moment, I'm trying to get my hands on any foreign Moria-culture foils, if you've got any.  I wish you the best, dude.

Crap. That's bad news. Sorry to hear it.
And the number of .hack sets continues to decrease. Maybe it's like Highlander - there can be only one.
