I've created a simple, unobtrusive shortcut bar at the top of the forum. If you like it, let me know and I will copy it to the rest of the site (i.e. CC and the card pages). I was thinking that a universal navigational tool would be helpful. People have been asking about a quick way to get to the DB from the forums as well.
I've tested it down to 800x600 resolution... any less than that, and it probably won't fit. Also, it is just a teensy bit hard to read if you're using the Hobbit theme.
Let me know what you think!

Woah... I logged on, and thought "what the heck is wrong with my browser? It's got a string of numbers up top... oh... wait... Cool!"
I like it there. Very nice.
Would probably be nice to have on CC, too. Not sure if it needs to be on the card pages, though; those are probably easily enough jumped around in as it is.
 Thanks a million!

YES! This is awesome. You've quite outdone yourself this time, Kralik. Thanks, man.

I'm shooting for uniformity, but only if people like it enough to keep it. :) Any suggestions?
-
totally... AWESOME! =D>

Actually, looking back at it again, might as well put it on the individual card pages, too, since it does have the forum links on there as well.
Oh, and if you keep it (which I can 100% guarantee you everyone will want) could probably get rid of the "To CC" on the forum menu bar (meaning the menu bar with Log In/Out, Members, Profile, etc)
-
I like it.

Kudos, have some :gp:

Enough people like it that I'll assume it's OK with the majority. :P It is now universal.

Done!

This is the cat's meow. :gp:

Funny enough, that was my initial reaction as well. :P
ONE tiny little itty bitty thing: could the text for it in The Hobbit theme be white instead of black? Not a big deal, but it might look a little better that way. Either white or the light khaki used by the main forum boxes and all in the theme.

Yeah, I knew the Hobbit theme in particular looks a little off. I might be able to change it, but give me some time... it's just inheriting the default theme colors for links and I'd probably have to write up a new stylesheet to get it to work.
-
Ah, THAT'S why I was having so much trouble finding it.
I used to be a wiz with stylesheets and code...but it has grown and I have not. Now I feel like butter spread over too much bread when I try to poke at it too much.
-
I got it to work! The colors should match the rest of the theme. :)
-
Hey, you did it! \:D/
Now did you ever figure out why the "The Last Homely House", the squiggly bar underneath it, and the PM/unread posts notification never all line up properly? :P
-
Oh, blast it. You're not going to make me actually make the whole Hobbit theme look good now, are you?! You're only one of 4 using it...
-
Begone, foul squiggly bar! Thou hast tormented DáinIronfoot for too long!
-
Could you put the Members link on Lord of the Rings stylesheet? Has made it difficult with the Assassin game

5 ;)

Just looked it over: if you click on the number next to "Total Members" at the bottom of the page, it will get you to the members list. Bookmark it if you want.

I have a complaint about this, I'm afraid. When you search for something in the database, the first thing it shows in the summary of a card is the list of numbers that makes the shortcut bar (eg. here (http://search.freefind.com/find.html?oq=sword+of+dol+guldur&id=7250039&pageid=r&_charset_=UTF-8&bcd=%C3%B7&scs=1&query=arwen&Find=Search&mode=ALL&search=all)). Is there something you can do about this?

Good point. I should be able to fix that... I don't have time tonight, but maybe tomorrow.

How about making "LotR TCG DB" a link, too? The search box is very convenient (with minimal scrolling involved).
And thanks for the links! I gotta admit that sometimes when I needed to call up a card in the middle of writing a post, I'd enter its name and use the preview feature to generate a link.

You too, huh? :P
-
Me three!
Which means that it's time to yet again contemplate and reflect on the awesomeness that Kralik has created.
Though as long as we're throwing out suggestions for the continual improvement of the place, I'll second ES' motion to make the "LotR TCG DB" a link.
-
Will do... once I have some time. :P
