Title: Multiple While's
Post by: Ulmo on September 07, 2008, 07:29:40 AM
This may have been answered already but I couldn't find it.  Troop of Haradrim has multiple while conditions on it.  If I spot 4 threats, does it mean he is an archer, is fierce and is damage +1?  Or is he simply damage +1?

Hi,
if you spot 4 threats, this minion is an archer, damage+1 and fierce.

But it is up to you, how many threats you want to spot.

If there are five threats, and you want this minion don't gain damage+1, for any reason, you may also spot just 2 threats, to make hime fierce and an archer.

Yours sincerly
Elrohir

But it is up to you, how many threats you want to spot.

Are you sure about that? :-k

Sorry!  :-[

"...for each Elf you can spot": If there are two elves in play, you may spot one, two or no elf.

"...while you can spot an Uruk-Hai, the fellowship archery total is -1": In this case, you have no choice.

If you spot 4 threats, he gains all of them.

Elrohir is correct. "While you can spot..." are mandatory effects.

Multiple whiles can trigger as long as the conditions are satisfied, so if there are 4 threats, Troop of Haradrim gains archer, fierce, and damage +1.

"...for each Elf you can spot": If there are two elves in play, you may spot one, two or no elf.
The "can" requires you to spot all of them. On the other hand, "...for each Elf you spot" would give you a choice of how many (if any) to spot.
