Title: Sméagol discard/replay
Post by: Celebrimbor on September 09, 2011, 03:55:34 PM
I noticed some [shire] cards revolve around discarding Sméagol and/or playing him back from the discard pile.  Is this a feasible dynamic to include in a deck?  The idea really has some taste...Sméagol the slippery sneaky fellow who can disappear and reappear.

A few cards encompassing this idea:

Frodo, Master of the precious
Serving the Precious
Scouting
Never
Rare Good Ballast
No Help for It
Smeagol, Slippery Sneak

I might see something here, let me try:

Frodo, Rluctant Advanturer with Such a Weight to Carry
Sam, Nice Sensible Hobbit
Smeagol, Stinker

No Help For It x3
You Must Have It x3
Hobbit Intuition x4

Rare Good Ballast
Birthday Present x3
A Promise x4
A Light in His Mind
The Tale of the Great Ring
There and Back Again

Sting, Baggins Heirloom
Hobbit Sword
Frodo's Cloak
Brace of Cooneys x4

Hobbit Choke, with a sword and a few promise Sam is difficult to overwhelm, Frodo with the Ring ca skirmish a few times too, add burdens to keep Smeagol Alive, discard Smeagol to remove the burdens and play him back next fellowship phase to heal your fellowship twice. Take back the 2 events you need each turn with Birthday Present unless you have one extra in your hand.

You should not give too many Twilight Tokens so you won't be facing too many minions, just make sure you survive until your shadow finishes the job.

it would be best if this included some way to seriously choke out on a double move. then running would be an option if your shadow jacks on you.
