Post by: CouncilofElrond on January 31, 2013, 04:48:48 PM: There is one that I can never forget (despite being on the losing side of the match and my shot at Day 2 of Worlds). I'm sitting at 6-1 with the final round of Day 1 of Worlds. A win and I'm in to Day 2. A loss means I still could get in but it will be close.

I was playing Gimli, Bearer of Grudges + Legolas, Greenleaf + Eowyn, Lady of Ithilien set up and my shadow side was Easterlings.
My opponent was playing Dauntless Hunter and Sauron Besiegers.

My opponent went first. We each traded double moves to site 3.
My opponent doubled to site 5. I was unable to follow his double move to 5 and had to stop at 4.
My opponent singled to site 6. I was still unable to catch up as I had to single to site 5.
My opponent doubles to site 8. My shadow side wasn't stopping him at all (as you can tell). I was doomed to lose this game but not before I did something utterly ridiculous.

I dropped Radagast, the Brown and triple moved from site 5 to 8 utterly destroying every besieger that hit the board. Had I been able to increase the move limit again (or slowed my opponent down or been able to double to 6), I would have most certainly won that game.

To quote Boromir, "One does not simply walk into Mordor..." You're right we didn't walk in to Mordor, we stomped, crashed, and annihilated into Mordor.

Sadly, I finished 34th (and need to finish 32nd) to make day 2 of Worlds. ](*,)

I think I also saw that one before.

I really enjoyed playing that multiplayer game on GCCG before.

Post by: Eukalyptus on March 09, 2013, 10:18:26 PM: I once won with a Site 2 kill with roaming orcs from Mount Doom. Got 3 orcs, Ithil Stone and Flames Within against 3 comps. Best starting hand ever.
