Title: The future of this forum.
Post by: DáinIronfoot on May 12, 2008, 12:17:00 PM
I really liked the idea of the RPG forum over at CC, and once we're able to get all that info back, this board will be populated by all the neat RPGs and profiles and stuff that CC had.

Once school is up for me (finally!) in a few weeks, I may kick off one or two more for anyone who's interested. I think RPGs could be a key piece of keeping things fresh and interesting around here in the future, so I'll make sure that anyone that's into it has a good outlet. :)

I'm sorta interested, though I have no idea how these work.

basically you each make a character. with certain weapons, appearance, characteristics and talents.
Then you join an RPG started by someone (dain most likely) you might RPG the battle of osgiliath for example, in TTT.
Dain is a better RPG'er than I am, So I will let him go more into depth in the best ways to post.

Do we have to speak poetically and pretend to have special powers?

Now that at least an archive of CC is back up, I'd recommend checking out the old roleplaying forum (http://lotrtcgdb.com/community/viewforum.php?f=21). Should provide most of the detail you need.

Yeah, no kidding....

Wait....

Seriously, though, I'm hoping to finish up some prep for another DC RPG and start one off sometime once school's over.

It's hard to get Realms of Middle-earth going again unless AP and EL show back up, as they were major players. So that's on hold for now.

and EL hasn't been seen anywhere for a while...corvus no longer wants to RPG, FM is busy, and AP's gone...we need to get some new faces who can RPG.

I may be able to RP.

I might actually be able to GM something. In fact...I've even been messing around with a rules-lite generic thing. Easily adaptable to LOTR. And that might lend structure to the whole thing.

Dang.
I'm up here in ND now, and I forgot to bring a copy of my file where I was working on prep for the DC RPG. I'll try to throw something together, but I can't promise anything soon.

Hey Dain. I know who this guy is. it is an annoying friend, who I assume read my password from a little notebook I have when I invited him home. I asked him because he knows this forums and "notaspambot" is his username in msn, and youtube, I think. I talked to him and I hope he doesn't make more spam

And about the post, "centriolo" is a part of the animal cell. we had our Biology test today. ok, hope this is over

Sure is, since I'm clearing the topic. From here on, ON-TOPIC posts, please. Man, working two jobs is harsh! ;)
