Title: What constitutes skirmish special abilities?
Post by: gashad on March 21, 2012, 04:23:03 AM
Ok-yesterday a question cropped up when we were playing a game- Faramir Son of Denethor stops the shadow player using skirmish event or skirmish special abilities.

Does this cover only abilities with the Skirmish keyword-or does it cover all abilities used in the skirmish phase including responses blade in the skirmish phase such as blade tip or all blades perish?

Thanks

A skirmish special ability is an ability that has "Skirmish:" beforehand. Similarly this is true for any other kind of special ability—a maneuver special ability has to have "Maneuver:", a response special ability has to have "Response:" etc.

A skirmish event is an event that has "Skirmish" in its type-line (for post-RotK cards) or "Skirmish:" in its text box (for pre-RotK cards).

Hope that helps.
