...that Decipher never made an alternate Shire template. What a loss for all of us.
And on a related note, I think the Legends Masterworks cards should never have been implemented without first designing additional templates for those that hadn't already received one. Instead, we got a bunch of worthless Nazgul.

What would they have entered into the Masterworks from that culture? Shire Countryside?

PATHS, Merry FTS (or Swordthain), Pippin WOBAS, etc.

Masterworks started with Black Rider. Just look at the number of Wraith cards in the Bloodlines, Hunters, RoS, and TaD sets compared to the number of Wraith Masterworks cards.

First they created completely useless cards like Ulaire Attea, Desirous of Power, Pull of the Ring and then make it masterwork? ...

In all seriousness, I'd be happy with a Masterworks Hobbit Sword. It'd be so un-awesome I might even go for a set without breaking something. ;)
Characters (set 12 or later) - Frodo, Frenzied Fighter; Sam, Bearer of Great Need
Random chase card (set 12 or later) - Scouring of the Shire
Perhaps something involving pipeweed smoke. That or... hairy feet.
/me imagines a template with feet on the bottom and hairs curling up the sides...
Excellent choice, sir. :gp:

I agree with ES, a masterworked hobbit sword would have been great. Which other card debued in nearly every single set?

Wasnt Masterwork art done since the Countdown collection? Way before Black Rider?

Correct, the first "Masterworks" templates debuted with the Countdown Collection. Pre King
