Title: A Question About Foils.
Post by: menace64 on May 09, 2012, 08:27:42 PM
Does anyone know how the foil cards were actually made? I'm mainly curious about how the shiny elements were selected before printing, and even the material utilized during printing to make them so pretty.

its obviously they did sth else after mount doom, considering how #$&*@! they looked in shadows onwards. Hunters Block foils are so bad, dark cards with a bit glitter, they dont even need a mention, Ages End is again 3 steps lower, worst quality possible.

Some of the choices for foilage are pretty funny. Khazad Ai-menu, for example, foils only Gimli's helmet. And Grima, Chief Counselor only foils a single lock of his hair.

I have that Grima as a foil. It is pretty lousy.

Best Decipher foil ever though goes to Paploo. It's like they captured the quality of a laser beam.
