Doing some analysis of game text across all 3500-ish cards and I've been finding a few interesting nuggets of info I thought I'd share:
- there are only about 1000 unique words used across all game text of all cards (not counting lore)
- the most used non-grammatical word is "minion"
- the most referenced race is Man
- the most referenced culture is [Gondor]
- the most referenced loaded keyword is damage+1.
- there are 337 words only referenced once (however, a good number of these are typos, such as [ elf ] instead of [ elven ], "free peuples", and the french words that somehow crept in on that one card)
- the least-referenced unloaded keyword appears to be "staff"
- there are 7 different references to helm possessions in spite of the fact that only 2 helms were ever made (gimli's helm and rohirrim helm, plus reprints).
I thought some of those were interesting, anyhoo. I'll post more as I find them.

Wow, I'm surprised that staff is less-referenced than helm. I guess the staffs in MM made a disproportionately large impression on me

They're important, but never to the point that staff-specific cards ever had to be produced. The disproportionate reference to helm comes, I think, from Decipher's attempt early on at flavor in "discard a helm possession, shield possession, armor possession" a la Whip of Many Thongs. Later I guess they decided discarding only defensive possessions was bunk (since strength after all simultaneously represents both defense and offense) and decided discarding any possession was fair game.
And that, kids, is how I met War Club.
