Title: Denethor, Lord of Minas Tirith in Starting fellowship
Post by: neopium on June 17, 2012, 06:39:54 AM
Hi everyone,

I have seen on this forum some Gondor deck with Denethor, Lord of Minas Tirith (http://lotrtcgwiki.com/wiki/lotr10028) and Faramir, Captain of Gondor (http://lotrtcgwiki.com/wiki/lotr00035).

However, Denethor text says "To play, spot 2 [Gondor] Men". My understanding is that this starting fellowship is thus not allowed. Am I right?

Yes, starting with boromir BoC, or isildur BoH (cost 0, as they are the ringbearer), then faramir allows you to spot two [Gondor] Men, and because of Faramir, Denethor only costs [1]. This keeps the cost of the fellowship under 4.

With Boromir, it's the common start for a Noble Leaders deck.

Thanks.
But I am playing Movie block (excluding reflections because I don't have any cards from reflections). Thus I guess I will have to find another starting fellowship...
