Dudes, sorry for the long absense (for those who actually care), and now I return it is with question about a translation. I am going to hand out diploma's to graduate students tomorrow and 1 is from mexican origin. I want to give her a speech in Spanish, but not with something lame as Google Translate. I want it to be proper spanish. Please help me out.
Dear Irene,
I am not going to say that I love you, since that would be awkward. Yet I am going to say that I love the way you approach life. They say still waters run deep, and that is obviously the case with you. You did well in your exams, being the best in history! I hope life treats you kind, and I wish all the best to you!

Hahahaha, there is less to it than meets the eye ;-)

Why would you hit on a student of yours?
-
Why would you assume that I am going to?.... Ever heard of appreciation, kindness and other -non-romantic- signs of affection? Oh, wait, and ever heard of context, which I haven't shared with you guys? ;-)..... So no worries, hitting on no-one here :-). Luckily I got my translation elsewhere, so I am good.

So you don't need it anymore? I was about to do it for ya.
