Title: Drafting Towers with my Bros
Post by: zarepath on July 31, 2012, 10:18:28 AM
So I have a family reunion coming up, and my brothers and I traditionally always pull out the old LotR cards (all from movie block) and play the heck out of 'em.  Well, I wanted to try something different, and figuring I could get old cards for cheap online, I bought a box of Two Towers boosters and four draft packs.

Does anyone have any suggestions for doing a Towers draft with just three or four people?  None of us have drafted LotR before (I've drafted Magic online) and would like this to be as cool of an experience as I think it will be.

So far as I know, the rules for Towers draft are as follows: you bring your own adventure path, ringbearer, and ring (all from Towers block) before you crack your draft pack.  Then we all crack our draft packs, and then we draft, passing left for the first pack, then passing right, and then left again.  Deck has to be 40 cards, and once per game you can reshuffle your discard pile back into your deck.

Do I have everything straight?  Are there any awesome Towers draft strategies?  Any considerations I need to make considering there will only be 3 or 4 of us?
