Theme Deck - “The Hobbit”

A fellowship in the spirit of “The Hobbit”. The deck is in concept phase with emphasis on Gandalf protecting the dwarves. Looking to develop neat little trixes, and  a potential addition of smeagol. Further suggestions and improvements making the deck playable in the spirit of the Hobbit is much appreciated.

I'm not sure what you mean by that, like, "a hobbit, a wizard and a bunch of dwarves walk into a bar"? Because reading the deck, it doesn't "feel" Hobbit. No Bilbo ringbearer (and a single Bilbo in all the deck), a bunch of Dwarves that were not there and events that didn't happen not even remotely close.
Is it just the layout?

Right. Should have cleared that up to begin with. Hard to get lotr cards in my region these days, and I'm playing movie block. Don't have any other ringbearer than Frodo (frankly, think all other ringbearers ruined the game a little). As for events, its hard to base them on "The Hobbit" when the card game is based on the lord of the rings. - Not to mention the fact that the best "spells"/events therefore don't come from scenes in the Hobbit... My point is, to as far as possible, make a deck, in which Gandalf helps the dwarves (and in accordance with the game, obviously helps the ringbearer...). - AND to quote you, get some sort of "feel Hobbit" into it if possible!

Sorry for any misunderstanding!

Gandalf, Leader of Men, Gloin, Friend to Thorin, and Bilbo, Bearer of Things Burgled would just about round out that fellowship. You could throw in some Dwarf Guard for fun, but that wouldn't last too long.

That said, it's possible to come up with something like what you're looking at. The toughest part would be using Bilbo as the Ring-Bearer and getting around his terrible game text...I'd recommend massive burden removal because you won't last too long with a lot of pool.

If you're not afraid to go outside the book a little bit, I'd say:

Bilbo, Bearer of Things Burgled
Gloin, Friend to Thorin
Pippin, Hobbit of Some Intelligence
Merry, Friend to Sam

Gandalf, the Grey Pilgrim
various Dwarves

Then get out as many copies of The Shire Countryside and A Light In His Mind out before killing off Pippin. Will it survive against the best Shadows? No. Will it survive against good Shadows? Well, still no. But you'll have fun.

There and Back Again is a must. Just for the theme...

Forgot about There and Back Again! ...Thror's Map is another addition which I may look to fit into it - again, for the theme. I was considering Smeagol, Poor Creature but fear it will do more harm than good if I decide to go with Bilbo, Bearer of Things Burgled. ..and perhaps, I should use Gollum as part of the shadow instead to follow the theme. Possible addition of Gandalf's Pipe for burden removal may work?
