Title: How many minions?
Post by: cardfan722 on September 23, 2012, 10:21:29 AM
How many minions is good for a deck? I usually like to play with at least 20 for a 72 card deck. With swarm decks, I might go up to 25.

Depends on the strategy and what kind of support the deck needs. I remember Kralik having a particularly interesting deck that only had ten or eleven minions. Total.

It really depends on the deck. Besiegers, Moria and corsairs, for example, need a bunch of cards in your support area to be effective.

I usually run 32/32 on each side, so for that number I usually have about 15-17 minions with possible ways of playing minions from the discard (Breeding Pit, Evil Smelling Fens, Out of Sight and Shot). Obviously I would run more minions for swarm decks. Also ket_the_jet and bibfortuna have pretty solid advice, it needs to be balanced for your strategy.
