Thanks to FM and Kralik for fixing the site for us ‘newbies’.
I was posting under Tharkun, but can’t re-set the password.
Am afraid I have several more basic questions.
1. Bill Ferney, Swarthy, Sneering Fellow. Game text states: “FREEP may not assign campanion to skirmish Bill Ferny. Does this mean that the Shadow player gets to assign Bill? Or does it mean that Bill doesn’t participate in skirmishes.
2. Pipeweed. If I have several pipes in play (Say Gandalf’s, The Gaffer’s and Aragorns) and I discard one pipweed possession, do I get the affects of all 3 pipes?
3. “What is this new devilry?” game text:….fellowship at site 5 or higher each companions twilight cost is +2. Does that mean each companion played to the fellowship from hand? (During fellowship phase) Or does it mean that the MOVEMENT cost for each companion is +2? (Journey into Danger has the same game text in Sauron culture)

1) Shadow player gets to assign him in the exact same manner that the Shadow player can assign leftover minions.
2) No. You can only use one pipe's action at a time. If you want to use the text of all 3 pipes, you need to discard 3 pipeweed possessions.
3) It only affects the twilight cost of the companions because that's exactly what it says it does. All cards do what they say. Read what they say carefully and you won't even need to ask this question. If it meant that the movement cost for each companion is +2, it would say that.
