Title: New to Forum Looking for players
Post by: ElvenArcher on January 12, 2013, 06:45:43 AM
I am getting back into the LOTR TCG after a long time and looking for anyone in Provo, UT who may be interested in a game. Also any hints as to how to get the most out of the forum would be cool too.

Welcome to the forums! if you are looking for players, there is no better place than GEMP. its great for finding games in any format, and its easy to learn how the game functions. look for a link in "Valenor"

if you have questions about rules and such, check out "the archives of minas tirith"

if you are looking for deck lists, try "lothlorien"

if you like making dream cards, head over to "the chamber of mazarbul"

if you just want to discuss some LOTR, then "bag end" is the place to be,

and finally, if you just want to talk about random stuff, visit "the counsel of cobra"

hope this helps,

-mm

I'm looking for some ppl to play with as well, but I live in Newcastle, Australia. I would happily travel to Sydney to play though! I'm 23, a bloke, with a m8 who has a few decks, we're sick of playing each other! I used to travel to Sydney with my Dad for tourneys a lot but it died like 10 years ago. I rememebr winning a booster pack in lotr hay-day after coming last and getting a foil Saruman (RotEL, u know the one), and traded it for about 50 rares because I wasn't interested in making a deck with it. Good times. ^^

Obviously this is the versions with cards made of cardboard, not 1's and 0's. :)

Don't discount Gemp. It is an invaluable resource that is keeping this game alive.

Hello. Does anyone know if there are active players in Calgary, Alberta, Canada?

If not, can you think of a way how to find out, or how to contact active players in this region? Is there any other kind of forum where people who still play chat/ correspond?
My daughter just started collecting ( we bought an amazing collection from a former player/ champion) and since her older sister plays she wants to learn and practice.
Thanks for all your advice.

Is there a local play-group?

I have a small following (of novice players) that attend my church out here. mostly kids (under 18). Nothing much for organized play.  If you want competitive organized play with tournaments and leagues log onto GEMP. I work with the Site owner and manage the leagues there....
