One more day. I am going for the 49ers. My dad and brother are huge Niners fans. And I think they will win. It will be an amazing game for sure. So my prediction is 49ers: 31 Ravens: 21. I also thought this should have been last years super bowl but I got the game I wanted this time. So who you guys got?
-
I'm predicting Harbaugh 24, Harbaugh 20.
-
Haha. Nice one bib. I am gonna eating ribs and buffallo wings today! Also another great thing which is Super Bowl party food.
-
Well, you got the 49ers right, which is something. I was going for the 49ers, out of moral obligation since the Ravens did knock out New England, but I'm happy Ray Lewis went out with such a bang, pretty awesome (and also, I'm not sure Baltimore has in it to do it again next year, so at least the older Harbaugh got his ring - I'm guessing the younger one will pretty soon too, so...). Also, as I said throughout the year, I kinda felt bad for Alex Smith, so it'd be even worse if Kaepernick simply went and won the Super Bowl, just like that.
San Francisco is going to be a really tough one to crack next season, though, I think depending on how Free Agency and the Draft go, they will probably be well positioned to win it in New York (as in, keep the guys healthy and they might be able to try for the 16-0 season the Patriots let get away back in 42.
-
You are right they have alot of guys coming back. And I think if Kaepernick gets a full year under his belt it will be a lot better for the 49ers who I think are the most dangerous team moving forward(st least in the NFC). The game was incredable though. I was hoping all those guys who went through several bad years with the 49ere could get one(Willis, Davis, and especially Gore). But maybe next year I guess.

that was the stupidest superbowl ever. there we SO MANY blatant fouls by ravens that were NEVER called. a guy got smacked upside the head, a guy got tackled while going for the football. and then there was a MASSIVE holding in the end zone while they were burning clock. that could have given sanfran a whole play after the safety punt.
very frustrating game
-
Agreed about the frustrating. So apparantyl the refs for the game managed to forge the votes to what refs will ref the game. So these ones weren't even supposed to be here. That is really messed up.
-
where is your source for that?
-
It was an article on ESPN. I will see if I can find it. Now the refs obviously made a few bad calls but the 49ers did put themselves in a 28-6 point hole and were fortunate to be back in the game. I do see the Niners being back in the big game soon enough. But go Rams!
-
I couldn't find it on ESPN but same thing here: http://www.footballzebras.com/2013/01/20/6711/

Yeah, foul-calling was awful, I think something has do be done about it. I understand, most fouls are very subjective, but I'm thinking allowing fouls to be challenged would be the next logical step. Kinda weird how that would even work, but foul-calling has been awful these last years, you see the exact same play being called different ways.

At least able to challenge pass interference or holding of a wr. Holding on lineman happen every play. Some are just blatant. But it might complicate things. Who knows though.
