Well, kind of.
I've always been blessed with good health. I don't eat like I should (who does?), I don't exercise like I should (again, like 95% of Americans :P), yet I've still been blessed with a good strong body and, aside from a wee bit more waistline than I should have, no real issues with my body or health.
Until a few months ago, that is. I won't go into great detail, but I started having some...uh...digestional issues. Nothing bad, and nothing regular, but uncomfortable in actuality and as a conversational topic.
It hasn't gotten better, and in fact, it seems over the last couple weeks to have gotten a bit worse. I finally went to the doctor last week, and after turning all kinds of different shades of red during the consultation and *ahem* examination, I'm slated to have a colonoscopy on Thursday, which means I'll be pretty incapacitated Wednesday evening and most of the day Thursday. Assuming I'm not of the 0.35% that has a serious problem during the surgery or get diagnosed with a serious issue (which neither I nor the doctor expect, but better safe than sorry!), I should be back on my (iron :P) feet by Friday.
It's really not a big deal, but because I HAVE been pretty healthy, any kind of surgerical procedure is a little unsettling simply because of lack of experience being put under and poked and prodded. So, I'm not fishing for a bunch of "we'll be praying for you"s or "hope all goes well"s or the like, but it WOULD be nice if those of you that DO pray could put in a good word for me with the Big Guy. ;) I know He's up there and in control, but it never hurts to put a bug in His ear, ya know?
So, yeah. That's it. Get back to the wild and wacky topics elsewhere on the forums and I'll stop dragging things down. Promise.

UuUUUuuuuUUUUUuuuugh....
Well, as everyone told me, it was the prep yesterday afternoon and evening (and several times during the night, as it turned out) that was truly miserable. The operation itself was a breeze since I was knocked out and don't remember anything between the time they started pumping the anaesthesia stuff in and when I came to in the recovery room.
But the prep...blech. I would not wish that on my worst enemy. That was the most miserable experience of my life.
I now have a headache (probably lack of adequate fluids and ANY food the last 24 hours, combined with aforementioned lack of sleep) and I'm groggy as all get-out, even after a four hour nap. But I'm lighter, at least. :P And the doc didn't find anything major, so looks like all is well.
I should be back up to speed tomorrow, hopefully. Until then, I'm off to praise the Lord for food as I sample the delicacies of my own refrigerator.

Glad to hear that things gone just fine (fine as can be a post-cirurgical recuperation)!
In some days you should recover from this small (but really annoying) problems and be ready to take your normal live.
Anyway take care and keep us updated.
