Title: (Shadow Only) Sauron Tracker Idea
Post by: TheNinthPlayer on April 20, 2013, 09:11:38 AM
Alright, so I made a [sauron] tracker shadow, and implemented it in one of my better freeps decks.
I like the idea of it, and my record is 4 and 1 with the combined deck, but these wins have come out of my freeps making desperate double moves at the end, not my shadow constricting the opponent.  :-S
I'd like to keep the tracker dynamic, so if anyone has any ideas to make it more effective, it'd be great.
(I'm not looking for an entirely new deck list, just small changes.)

Here's the (shadow only) deck list:

3x Grishnakh, Orc Captain
3x Orc Chaser
2x Orc Pursuer
3x Orc Pursuer(2) (Tower Block version)
3x Orc Scout
4x Orc Scouting Band
3x Orc Seeker
2x Orc Stalker
4x Desperate Defense of the Ring
4x Under the Watching Eye  Tower of Barad Dur
(?) 3x Grond, Hammer of the Underworld (?)

The idea so far is to use Desperate Defense to it's highest potential, playing all four as soon as possible.
The real key of the deck is the king block cards, like Orc Chaser, combined with DDotR, gaining initiative, and making small minions much more powerful.

Suggestions are welcome, thank you all!

Replace Under the watching Eye with Tower of Barad-Dur?

What, no Grond?

What, no Grond?
I considered this briefly, but decided against it.  The trackers have some great cycling skills, and I tend to run low on twilight, not cards to play.  Not sure if I can afford the three cost in any given shadow round, at least without giving up something else.
Grond is a beast in most decks, so it may be worth a shot, though.
Replace Under the watching Eye with Tower of Barad-Dur?
Hmmm..  Don't know why I didn't see that before...  Fantastic idea.
