Title: Using ARB's as regular companions.
Post by: jdizzy001 on July 24, 2013, 03:21:47 PM
I know it isnt done much, if ever, but does anyone use alternate ring bearers as regular companions? There seems to be little or no reason to do it, but I like Boromir, Bearer of Council's text enough that I would put him in a deck.

Boromir is the only one worth using as a regular companion.

Bilbo can be worth using in movie block if you really want to use frodo or some other RB and still get his fun like RBoW

Here is a dumb question If you use Boromir Bearer of Council as a regular card I would think you would still have to follow his game text of those penities when putting him into a skirmish, do you not? If so why would anybody want to use that version of him as a regular card?

if you use him as a regular companion he is not your ringbearer...
His first sencence is not active if he is not your ringbearer; only his second sentence. And this ability is not bad
