Title: Strength of spirit + Terrible and Evil
Post by: neopium on July 25, 2013, 02:47:38 AM
Hi, I have a very simple question:

I play Terrible and Evil and exert Gandalf 3 times (for instance). If I play Strength of spirit, does it prevent all exertions or just one?

My understanding is just one.  The exertions are placed on Gandalf sequentially.  You can then respond to one with Strength Of Spirit (it is a response card).

Just one. Each exertion token is placed one at a time, so SOS can only be used on one.

And in case you're wondering, this combo does not allow you to make X be more than Gandalf's vitality-1; 4 vitality means X cannot be more than 3 even when using SOS.
