Hi, this is my first post here. I'm wondering if anyone that frequents these boards will be attending GenCon in Indianapolis, IN this August 14-17.
I'd love to find people to play some LOTR and was even considering gauging the interest in maybe someday doing a live tournament there. I know there's one group hosting a Decipher Star Wars CCG sealed event and there's typically a lot of tournaments for old card games that take place at GenCon.
Let me know if anyone will be at GenCon and if there's any interest in playing some LOTR.

I won't be this year but the idea sounds great.

Going to bump this thread again about this year's GenCon in Indianapolis, 7/30-8/2/15. Anyone interested in getting together for some live LOTR TCG games? Or does anyone know of any plans to host a LOTR tournament at this year's GenCon?

Sounds interesting, but how often do people do TCG tournaments at events like these? And would there be prizes?

That's the point. It's either get together for just some fun, live-action pickup games or actually do some kind of tournament.
For example, last year someone hosted a Decipher Star Wars TCG Sealed tournament. In the past I have played in Vs. System and Score DragonballZ tournaments at GenCon long after those games were dead and gone. And every time I wished there was a LOTR one. You would be surprised at how many necro tournaments there are at GenCon for old games.
