I'm just curious. Has anyone else tried Hearthstone? Its a new online card game from Blizzard.
-
I've played it sparingly, one of my friends has played it more consistently. It's fun and really user friendly, but so far it's been lacking that "addicting" feature that most TCGs have for me.
-
I also find that that unfortunately the level of several players there is so low its hard to lose. :( I am not talking about difficult situations but easy wins that they screw up.
-
I tried it, but I only kept it for about two days before uninstalling. The game sets up slowly (maybe not when you have more cards, but Blizzard craftily avoided giving you any decent cards at the start of the game, and your only way to get more is by either playing with your bad cards or money) and to mimic Ringbearer here: The players are terrible. I just found it boring overall.

I've been really enjoying it. It's easy to drop in just for a game or two, which makes it different than LotR or Magic, in which game takes relatively more time.
I also started by wrecking a whole lot of people, then advanced to a place where folks are about as good (Casual uses an MMR system and the ranks naturally correlate with skill).
It's true that you start with relatively few cards, but the progress doesn't feel too slow and getting new cards is satisfying. A couple of the more popular streamers have also taken free to play/mostly basic decks all the way through the competitive ladder, so while you can't play every deck without devoting time or money to collecting you can definitely play with the best.

I think it's pretty fun, myself. Some classes I think are more fun than others, and I'm sure everyone will have a different opinion in that regard.
-
It's fun but it's really mostly about luck and the new expansion (coming in December) will make the game even more luck based.
-
In my playing experience (which is pretty big for both Hearthstone and various CCGs), I really don't think its any more luck-based than many TCGs. If you want the long answer, I can give more insight :)

I never tried it
-
But a friend on mine plays it.
-
What I can see, it seems to be a boring game

I just started playing Hearthstone and think it may be my new fav game! Try it, it's fun!
