I receive all the 900 cards to make the draft tournament for 8 players.
There is no more place now (8 players).
-
Have a nice time at the tournament, you Enola and your fellows! ;)
-
Thank you Durin's Heir, we will normally be 8 players tomorrow ;).
-
Awesome idea! Have a nice tournament!

We were 8 players for a draft and 3 tournament rounds (swiss rounds).
We got the packs A (Bilbo), C (Esgaroth), G (White Council) et H (Wizard).
Both decks in final round played Gollum corrupt. It's mostly due to the lack of drafting anti-corruption FP cards by most of the players or tactical things like wounding Gollum in archery or skirmishes to avoid If He Loses from discard pile.
The FP winning deck was a strong Esgaroth allies team.
2 x Gollum corrupt (1st and 2nd)
2x Trolls (3rd and 5th)
1x Wargs (4th)
1x Spiders (7th)
2x Goblin swarm (6th and 8th)

Quite interesting! And we must remember that Gollum was toned down: his original text had Stinker's strength addition, and he had that condition Underground Lake that added a doubt each time Bilbo lose (and could be discarded to make Gollum fierce).
Glamdring is a necessity against Gollum. But then comes site 5 and Gandalf gets tossed...
Thorin's Pack would have been a counter to If He Loses (Mithril Coat).
Tell us more! I believe there's a lot to learn from that first tournament experience.

Dwan Take You All and Kili were not enough used against corruption decks.
And Glamdring has to be played after the site 5 :/.
And of course He Gives Me Courage, and winning skirmishes against Bolg or the Fat Spiders also help ;).
-
It seems that the Trolls and Wargriders behaved very well too. Fierce, often damage +1, disuptive and strong minions. There are more counters to them than to Gollum (Elrond, Lore of Imladris, strength pumps, Fili), but still are hard to counter.
I wonder if the relatively low performance of Goblins is due to the low probability of getting 3 or 4 copies of their key cards (Goblin Runner, Scimitar, Great Goblin's Power) in the same deck.
-
For the Goblin, it's more due to player's mistakes during the game.
One of the player had a really strong Swarm Shadow, but make a terrible mistake on one game and was swarmed at site 3 by the other swarm deck and he had to go before the last round :(.
-
It's such a pity when a player has good luck or a well assembled deck and must leave for time or emergency reasons.
Then apparently only Gollum is a bit unbalanced. But only a bit I guess, and the other 4 packs might have a better match against him. I know the mighty Mithril Coat would have hindered the powerful If He Loses.
-
The success of the Gollum Shadow is really due to the lack of familiarity with the game by some players. I'm not sure it will happen a second time with the same players.
