Title: Isildur's Bane and Regroup Wounds
Post by: civ4master on June 29, 2015, 06:46:24 PM
Me and my fellow players disagree on whether or not Isildur's Bane can prevent wounds being taken during the regroup phase. The key phrase here seems to be "until". I think that it prevents wounds on the Ringbearer during the regroup phrase, but one of the other players in our group disagrees. He thinks that the Ring is instantly taken off. What's the correct way to play?

Isildur's Bane is able to respond to wounds taken in the Regroup Phase, or any phase for that matter.

Essentially, if you put the ring on due to an archery wound, he would take it off at the beginning of the regroup phase. If an Isengard Orc ability was sending a wound your way, he could respond again to put the ring back on and take wounds again. This goes for the Ring of Rings as well. These two Rings are the ones you want if you are worried about taking wounds in the Regroup Phase.

If the Ring goes on during the regroup phase, it will come off at the end of that phase.
