The fellowship is to choke a bit and dodge things that are coming at you. The hobbits play hide and seek, you have two strong companions, you can get rid of the opponent's condtions, you can shuffle the much needed events back into your deck, or the pipeweeds for that matter.
Shadow is a swarm with a twist, some like it, some hate it. I like it, for the 4 ships are an extention to your hand. 4 extra minions that get possibly rid of some much-needed possessions.

What exactly is your starting fellowship? Just Merry and Pip?
i will comment only the shadow side for now. I think will be very hard to use marauder text since you have very few corsairs out, but if you are planning just throw him at the final moves to get rid frodo´s hobbit sword maybe you can stick with it. I would switch The Underdeeps of Moria for They Are Comming (Get a "free" scavenger back and draw a card). Remove 3 can make you unable to play a big swarm in middle game. And please, add one Runner more (switch for one Sneak maybe).
One last thing, i know that is a hard choice but maybe you need Enquea for crowd control cause if your opponent run 9 comps that would be very bad for your guys...
