Title: I Must Be Some Kind of Noob
Post by: ANGRY on March 16, 2017, 02:21:02 PM
So... I have been playing the physical game for years, and during those years I only gradually came to understand all of the rules. I thought I had 'em all. Apparently not.

I tried my first game on gemp today, Standard format. I went first, and fought two minions at a sight with shadow number of 2. Then, I moved again, to a site with shadow number of zero. The minions proceeded to kill me. So...

... Has my entire life been a lie? It has always been my understanding that minions cannot fight you at a site with a shadow number of zero. If this isn't the case, what the heck is the rule?

Nothing wrong with a site with Shadow number (equivalent to Twilight cost) zero. Treat it as any other site, just you don't add extra Twilight when you move. It still would be considered site 3.

Yeah, I get that it would be site 3 and all... But I thought the amount of minions that could fight at a site was limited to the shadow number. How do minions fight at a site with a shadow number of zero? Is there some other rule I am not aware of for the later versions of sites (post Shadows)?
