Title: Elven Archery & Nazgul Kill
Post by: ElvenSpearman21 on February 25, 2009, 02:06:50 PM
I'm going to start posting a deck in every format so, here is Fellowship.

 Sites:
 The Prancing Pony
 Bree Gate
 Rivendell Waterfall
 Moria Stairway
 The Bridge of Khazad-dum
 Lothlorien Woods
 Silverlode Banks
 Pillars of the Kings
 Summit of Amon Hen

 Starting:
Frodo, Reluctant Adventurer w/ The One Ring, Isildur's Bane
 Legolas, Prince of Mirkwood
 Arwen, Daughter of Elrond

 Fellowship:
Aragorn, Heir to the White City
 Rumil, Elven Protector
 Orophin, Lorien Bowman
 Calaglin, Elf of Lorien
 Saelbeth, Elven Councilor
 Golradir, Councilor of Imladris
 Sting
 Long-knives of Legolas
 Gwemegil
 Ranger's Sword
 Flaming Brand
 Bow of the Galadhrim
 Aragorn's Bow
 Elven Bow
 The Tale of Gil-galad
 The Splendor of Their Banners
The Last Alliance of Elves and Men
2x No Stranger to the Shadows
 The Saga of Elendil
 3x Friends of Old
 2x Secret Sentinels
 2x Release the Angry Flood
2x Power According to His Stature
 2x Defiance
 2x Gondor Bowmen
 2x Forests of Lothlorien

Go first and pull Gorn. Load up your three fighters with possessions. Salebeth and Orophin take care of Uruks while Golradir and Rumil put away Orcs. Sting and Paths are there to prevent Swarm. Release the Angry Flood and Flaming Brand take care of Nazgul. If your opponent has no minions to speak of. Mave to site 5 first turn. Bree Gate + Rivendell Waterfall

Comments on how to make it better?

2x Galadriel, Lady of Light              instead of      2x Friends of old
Celeborn, Lord of Lorien            instead of           Friends of old
Swanship of the Galadhrim             instead of           Golradir
Swanship of the Galadhrim             instead of           Saelbeth

Be aware of Balrog, if you move from site 1 to 5!

Just leave the Nazzies to Arwen, Greenleaf can still pack a punch against Nazgul. I'd also add x2 Lorien Elf as sacrificial lambs for 'Ole Balgy.

I don't really see "archery" there as a theme. Choking is not that big, what with a bunch of possessions and events, so I'd probably play with Greenleaf, but most likely, with Son of Thranduil, and Aragorn, King in Exile. You have way too few possessions right now, you're sure to be beat up horribly if you get a non-ideal draw.

I'd play a pair of Hobbit Stealth over Lorien Elf anyday, btw, if Balrog is a problem. I'd actually run a set of them, at least. You can drop Release the Angry Flood, that's overkill, and you can also drop Gondor Bowmen or play a full set and 2-3 Might of Numenor. Forests of Lothlorien are also overkill. By making Legolas about archery, you could also drop his possessions, in order to make room for another pair of swords for the lovebirds, and possibly another Flaming Brand and a Boromir of sorts (with Gondor Bowmen, possibly Defender of Minas Tirith). You also need a second Sting in there...

That'd be me, since I only play with my own collection. :D lol
But tell you what, if I ever get the cards to build it in GCCG, I'll play against this deck, WITH my Nazgul Shadow. ;)

seems like you need a way to play Bree Gate and Rivendell waterfall if you are going first to get aragorn at prancing pony.

You need to add Sam, Son of Hamfast otherwise you don't stand a chance against corruption.
