Title: The New Gigadrowse?
Post by: SomeRandomDude on August 08, 2010, 06:49:06 PM
Hey!

Came across this card (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=193652&type=card) today, and since ext D-storm players have been complaining about being unable to tap down their opponents, I was wondering what y'all thought about it replacing the now-rotated Gigadrowse?

I would love to be able to comment, but I only played since m10 (and Alara) so I have no idea what youre talking about.

Oh, well, Guildpact just rotated out of extended, and with it rotated Gigadrowse, a card that was used to tap out lands EOT before comboing off for Dragonstorm.

I'm not really sure about that. Gigadrowse is, from my point fo view, better than this new card in a D-Storm. Otherwise, the untapping ability might be nice, but in D-Storm, I don't think you'll really need it. No matter what, I still believe some players may test this card.

I wouldn't be so sure. I'd much rather splash (we DO have fetchlands anyway) for Silence and pay a single mana to protect my combo than pay 2 MORE mana than they have lands out, which may prove too taxing.
