Title: LOTR O
Post by: V-R4NG3R on May 23, 2011, 02:05:42 AM
Hi guys, i once started with the LOTR O the first release with 30 days free period.
I stopped after that.
my question is,
If i install that CDROM again, how long will it take to get to the latest release?
how many releases have there been since then? how long will it take to get a character up to date?

Any ideas?

Is lotro the online lotr mmo? if so, you don't need the rom, its a free rpg now. Just go to their site and download it. You'll be fine.

I'm kinda curious, too. Was looking forward to finding an MMORPG before moving to smaller cities, so I don't go crazy with nothing to do.

lotro was named the best casual mmo due to the fact there are a lot of npc's like orcs. So, if you fall behind you don't have to worry about being killed by super players because you can level up by hunting orcs and uruks

Its very good game, I think its better than WoW.
There are many places ( Moria, Lothlorien, Bree with The Prancing Pony, Angmar, Mirkwood, Old Forrest,Hobbiton including the Green Dragon,) and characters from book, like Gandalf, Strider-Aragorn, Radagast the Brown, Tom Bombadil..
I like playing it, and its not boring like WoW, because it have story quests, you can have your own house, and its FREE!

It's pretty good as far as MMORPGs are concerned, crappy PvP though.  As for the free aspect, it's theoretically free, but if you don't actually want to spend any money, chances are you're going to spend a looong time grinding, or quit.
