Title: new Tolkien based card game

I just ran across this interview about a new Fantasy Flight card game based on The Lord of the Rings. It looks pretty cool. The artwork is impressive at least. There are pictures of some of the cards, and I must say the text of the Gimli card is suspiciously similar to Gimli, Counter of Foes.

Sounds good. I think LotrTcg is more Lord of the Rings related theme-wise though.

The game is awesome - there was a preview event at GenCon for the upcoming Print-On-Demand product "Massing at Osgiliath". The next (and third) adventure pack A Journey to Rhosgobel should be releasing within the next few weeks if rumors are true.

Some people don't like the game, but they tend to be the type of people who prefer a competitive one-on-one game versus the cooperative nature of FFG's version.
