I have never made a deck from hunters block but here it goes.
Starting:
Frodo, Weary From the Journey w/ The One Ring, The Ring of Doom
Gimli, Eager Hunter
Gloin, Son of Groin
Fellowship:
Thorin III, Stonehelm
3x Heavy Axe
3x Well-crafted Armor
Ring of Artifice
4x The Fortunes of Balin's Folk
4x Sturdy Stock
4x Axe- Work
4x Dwarven Stratagem
2x Balin Avenged
4x Run Until Found
2x Chamber of Records
Point: Take wounds, reinforce tokens, remove tokens to win skirmishes, and stuff.
Half the reason I posted here was to prove TheJord wrong. [-X =D>

Awesome. That deck looks sweet. Of course, this is a format where the typical freeps looks like Frodo, Faramir, Captain of Ithilien, Ranger of the White Tree x 2 and Madril, Defender of Osgiliath, or Sting, ELK / Aragorn's Bow, RL with Madril in there somewhere anyways, so not exactly sure how competitive it is. I see it holding pretty well, though, you probably won't be able to run as fast. I'd try to pack some shadow that produces MAXIMUM stopping power, and that with something that can get through IB.
But sure. I'll take ya on if you get SdA. :)

Sweet a deck to kill me personally! I like the fact that this deck would handle a NG build, which is something Dwarves are notorious for not doing.
And why were you proving me wrong??? Sorry I have obv forgotten a conversation we had about how Token Dwarves cant work.
-
No, you just said you and NB would be the only ones posting here.
-
Ah yes. NB and I seemed to be taking over the Lothlorien boards and I wanted to see some activity from others! New decks people!
Anyway, I'm off to design a Hunters deck to kill this one.

Lackey.
-
Hmm looking at Fortunes of Balin's Folk and Armor of Khazad I dont know how effective Lackey will be in killing this.

Grond, Hammer of the underworld .

Grond, Hammer of the underworld .
Love it or leave it i say! Best [Sauron] card ever!
-
Grond, Hammer of the underworld .
You mean...Grond, Forged With Black Steel? Yeah, it pwns.
-
But Hammer of the Underworld is more reliable. Though stopping the FP player moving in regroup is pretty sweet. :D
Also, Jord, it's not Armor of Khazad, but Well-crafted Armor. Reinforces tokens when wounds are taken. :)
-
And Hammer of the Underworld isn't block legal. Plus, you just can't beat fwbs lore.
-
I'd like to see what Grond, FWBS would have done to the tournament scene. :-k
-
I hope I never see Grond, FWBS. I may cry, throw a tantrum, and rip it to shreds :)
-
Ah, well, just don't walk or make sure you remove the possession. Gondor has the tricks even in Hunters block. In standard BRC is ofcourse ace.
-
Won't this be vulnerable to archery? You have Frodo take a lot of wounds, of course, but beyond that....Dwarven Heart and Dain might be nice (suggested in another thread) for wound removal. I personally use Dark Ways. 8D
-
except of course it's hunter's block
-
Yes, so how would archery be prevented? XD
-
there are no truly viable archery options in Hunters, all the good card for man archery, elevated fire, howdah, voice of the desert, were all in WotR block
-
Ah, I see. XD
-
Maybe add an Aragorn for swarm potection?18R38

How about these thoughts to further resurrect this deck thread:
add:
1x thorin III, stonehelm
3x ring of artifice
2x prized lagan
1x sting, elven long knife
subtract:
2x the fortunes of balin's folk
1x balin avenged
I know that this inflates the deck, but I added the three rings of artifice only to discard them as quickly as possible. The well-crafted armor helps you make the most of the discarding. The prized lagans and the sting, elk could be essential to help against burdens and wounds on the ring-bearer.
The deck is not play-tested and it needs a shadow side. How about an Evil Men culture deck?
