I've been making a lot of allies for set 20 and I believe that this is the last one. Hobbit Craftsman is useful for finding specific cards in your draw deck. He can also be used to buff hobbit companions/allies.
Here are a few questions that I have about this card:
Is twilight too much or to little?
Is the card way to overpowered?
Should it be a rare card?
Thanks for the feedback on the rest of the cards for set 20, it's really nice to know what people want to see.
So, first off, it's almost pointless to quibble over rarity. Rarity is only really a concept for sealed and draft formats in this day and age, and anybody who's gonna use your cards will be doing so in an unlimited constructed format.
If draft becomes a thing, it'll be something you don't have a hope of balancing until you have the entire card base set up, so I would advise just setting rarity aside.
For the fellowship ability, the discount is wholly unnecessary. You're getting to pull a possession, any possession, for basically free (this is Shire we're talking about, the exertions are gonna get healed away), from either draw
or discard. If anything it ought to cost 1 or 2
more, and I would restrict it to just one or the other.
The second ability might work out (assuming that "Regroup" was meant to be "Skirmish"). Just remember that when you discard a weapon, you lose that weapon's strength, so using this on a
hobbit sword is in effect a +1, and on a
frying pan a +2. Other possessions would have to justify their inclusion, which admittedly the first ability helps with.
Lastly, consider uploading your card images to a website like
https://imgur.com and then embed them here; the attachment model makes them a bit annoying to consume (and that way you can have albums for clusters of cards).
