My brother, dad, and I were talking the other day, and we joked about someone reading The Lord of the Rings books and thinking that the g in Gimli was pronounced as a soft g, making it Jimli. As we goofed around, it soon became clear that this must have been the original intent of J.R.R. Tolkien, with things like this:
• "Bilbo Bajjins! Do not take me for some conjurer of cheap tricks!..."
• Jimli asked Jaladriel for a lock of her jolden hair, and she jave him three...
• Perejrin Took was told by Jandalf Jreyham to lijht the beacons.
• Frodo is the son of Drojo.
• Osjiliath was attacked of the Nazjul of Minas Morjul.
• Frodo and Sam were led to the Black Jate of Mordor by their juide, Smeajol.
• Jollum was considered Shelob's sneak, who is herself the spawn of Unjoliant.
• Frodo is the Rinj-bearer.
• Lejolas is a friend of Jimli, Lord of the Jlitterinj caves.
• Saruman is the lord of Isenjard
• Jandalf the Jrey was defeated by the Balroj of Moria, only to return as Jandalf the White.
• Jothmoj rode a warj.
• The Easterlinjs came from far to the East.
• Morjoth was the Dark Lord well before Sauron
• In the film Return of the Kinj, Arajorn takes his rijhtful place as the kinj of Jondor.
You get the jist.
