Please provide me with any feedback, things you would like in the League, suggestions, comments, ideas.

I am a (complete) novice at running League's, so your criticism is welcome.

This league is a very good idea.

Here is my comment:
I hear many people who wants to have other leagues with other format. I think we should stick to one format only and change it every month.

We could follow roughly the path of the game. For example, as Clockwork suggested, next moth TTT standard, February ROTK standard, etc etc. That way it is more easy to keep track with scores and such.
And I like it a lot. There is competition, but very casual, which I like!

It has obviously had an impact because it has been said that GCCG is more active than it has been in the past.

We know that a league can be successful, but we don't want to lose momentum. I suggest that in January we move forward and tackle TTT. Keep FoTR open for a least one more week so both run at the same time. If FoTR slows down and TTT takes off we know it is time to move on.

Once we know we can rotate the blocks, I suggest we create a Hall of Fame or similar to record past results. Prizes or awards can be given out for 1st in League, most wins, etc. The nature of the prize needs to be worked out - maybe we can arrange GCCG cash, or how about we talk to Kralik about some sort of badge that can be attached to our profile (similar to Star Trek), or any other ideas?

Some people play just because thet want to. Others play because they want to come first. Others might like to play becuase they can get something out of it.

Just my ramblings ....

1 - Doing a 2 Months league is awesome, you can cycle between formats and this way give everyone a taste of all forms of gaming.

2 - Creating V cards, either using the same card text and changing the culture symbol (to show it's a special V prize card), the image or even the card text would be an awesome idea. Just adding "The Lost Homely House" tag in the end of the card won't bring anything "worth fighting for", if you know what I mean...

3 - Making the league fair and square. Allowing a player to play against anyone is just fine. But in the end, players that spend their days playing will have a final score way higher then someone who play less. Like, I see players with 30 games, others with 1 game (I even see players with 1 win on top of players with 5 wins and 4 loses). Making a match limit number would be great. Something like: "You need to play 15 games until the end of the league", so in the end your name can be part of the game charts. (Hope I made my idea clear).

I'll end up having a few more ideas and I'll post them here.. :)

So far I have little complaints. This format is also a nice one to play, so that helps it as well.

For the move to Towers block, do we want all 3 sets introduced at once, or one at a time?

Well, natural progression, wouldn't that be set 1-4, TTT sites?

Do Towers Block...then Towers Standard. Seems like the natural progression.

I agree.

Well, natural progression, wouldn't that be set 1-4, TTT sites?
Is this actually a format though? Has anyone ever played sets 1-4 before?

So many formats - too many choices - I am a Libran and have trouble making up my mind

It is so much easier with the league (whatever the format may be) - someone makes my mind up for me :)

I have, it was called Standard, when The Two Towers first came out. ;) However, as I said, it was STANDARD, we just didn't have other sets yet, so it WOULD be Towers Standard, sets 1-6, if we were to name the format NOW. In fact, the natural progression WOULD be Towers Standard FIRST, and THEN Towers Block. You play the first block, a new set comes out, you mix and match, learn to play with the new cards, see what old ones do not work that well anymore, get acquainted to the new set, and then it's time to kiss it goodbye, so you move to Towers Block. Thn, King's Standard, so on, so forth. However, to be fair, it doesn't HAVE to be this way, in fact, you either go Block by Block or Standard by Standard. THe natural progression would be King coming in and kicking FotR out of the picture, no block involved whatsoever, but it feels smoothier (not to mention, translates into more games) this way.

Has anyone thought of doing a league the way it was done back in the day? I remember you would move from site 1-9. If you gained three wins you would move onto the next site. Each site also had a "game text" that applied while you were on the site. Does anyone remember what I'm talking about?

I still have one. I laminated the site map to help preserve it. Cool idea!

If folks are interested, I can tell you want the different special rule options were.
