Can be used to manipulate and maintain a beneficial site 1 for the Free Peoples player. Unlike the situation for site 3's Silinde and site 6's [[lotr01067|Uruviel]] there are no site 1s which specifically name themselves to prevent having their text copied. However, most of them are not useful for !Hobbit Farmer because they have one-time effects - for example, there is no real benefit to being able to play Aragorn more than once. Discounting East Road (benefits the Shadow player) and Hobbiton Woods (Only plays site 2), this only really leaves 3 sites: Green Hill Country, Town Center and Westfarthing, which offer extra choke utility and card draw. Green Hill Country is a particularly good choice, because its effect stacks with each !Hobbit Farmer out.

!Hobbit Farmer can also be used in situations where a player does not have access to all cards; if a player really wants a rare character such as Aragorn or Bilbo (Sam, Merry and Pippin also have rare versions, but are easier to play), but can't afford to bid high or pack extra copies, they can use !Hobbit Farmer with the relevant site 1 instead.

There are also some specific tricks !Hobbit Farmer can use with certain sites.
